DIGI-STAR EZ-320 SCALE CALIBRATION

(USING PLATFORM SCALE AS A REFERENCE)

 

1.         Drive the mixer to a platform scale and obtain an empty weight of the mixer. Retain this number for use later. NOTE: If the mixer is truck mounted, DO NOT shut the engine off during this procedure because restarting could cause the scale to exit the calibration mode.

2.         Power up the scale indicator and allow it to warm up for five minutes.

3.         Press and hold the [NET/GROSS] key, then press and hold the [ON] key until “CAL” appears at the top of the display in small letters. This will indicate that the scale is in the calibration mode.

4.         From this point on, the [ON] key will act as the ENTER key and the [NET/GROSS] key will act as the VALUE INCREMENT key if it is necessary to change a parameter value.

5.         LANGUAGE will appear on the display, followed by ENGLISH; if not the desired language, press [NET/GROSS] key to change.

6.         Press the [ON] key.

7.         P-ALM will appear on the display, followed by 100. if not, press the [CLEAR] key and enter in the number 100.

8.         Press the [ON] key.

9.         E-MTHD will appear on the display, followed by a 1. This can be 1, 2 or 3 depending on the method of programming you choose for rations and recipes.

10.      Press the [ON] key.

11.      TOLER will appear on the display, followed by OFF. This can be .5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 ingredient percentage.

12.      Press the [ON] key.

13.      DELAY will appear on the display, followed by MANUAL. This can be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 20, 30 or 60 second delay.

14.      Press the [ON] key.

15.      TIME will appear on the display, then change to SET TIME. If not correct, use the [NET/GROSS] key to increase the value of the flashing numbers, then the [TARE] key to change the position of the flashing numbers.

16.      Press the [ON] key.

17.      DATE will appear on the display, then change to SET DATE. If not correct, use the same procedure as setting the time.

18.      Press the [ON] key.

19.      MARGUE will appear on the display, followed by OFF. If not, press [NET/GROSS] key to turn it OFF.

20.      Press the [ON] key.

21.      MOTION will appear on the display, followed by OFF. If it displays ON, press the [NET/GROSS] key to change it OFF

22.      Press the [ON] key.

23.      D RATE will appear on the display, followed by a 2. if not, press [NET/GROSS] until it displays 2.

24.      Press the [ON] key.

25.      W MTHD will appear on the display, followed by a 1. If not, press [NET/GROSS] until it displays 1.

26.      Press the [ON] key.

27.      ZTRACK will appear on the display, followed by OFF. If not, press [NET/GROSS] to turn it OFF.

28.      Press the [ON] key.

29.      The scale will now scroll the following message: “PRESS NET/GROSS FOR CALIBRATION – PRESS TARE FOR SETUP – PRESS ON TO EXIT”. At this point, you will press the [NET/GROSS] key for calibration.

30.      LB-KG will appear on the display, followed by LB. If KG is desired, press the [NET/GROSS] key to change.

31.      Press the [ON] key.

32.      CAP will appear on the display, followed by 40000 with the far right digit flashing. If not, press the [NET/GROSS] key to change the value of the flashing digit, then use the [TARE] key to change the position of the flashing digit.

33.      Press the [ON] key.

34.      COUNT will appear on the display, followed by 10. If a count of 5 is desired, press the [NET/GROSS] key until 5 is displayed.

35.      Press the [ON] key.

36.      ZERO will appear on the display, followed by a number. Press the [NET/GROSS] key, then the [ZERO] key to zero balance the indicator.

37.      ADD WT will appear on the display, followed by 0.

38.      At this point, you will need to load the mixer with no less than 4000 lb. of weight.

39.      Next, drive the mixer back to the platform scale and obtain a loaded weight. Subtract the number from the empty weight obtained in step 1 from this number.

40.      Press the [ON] key.

41.      Enter the number obtained in step 39 into the scale by pressing the [NET/GROSS] key to change the value of the flashing digit, and [TARE] to change the position of the flashing digit in the number.

42.      When the correct weight has been entered, press the [ON] key to enter the calibration number into the scale.
