DIGI-STAR EZ-150 / EZ-2000 SCALE CALIBRATION

(USING PLATFORM SCALE AS A REFERENCE)

1. Drive the feed mixer to a platform scale and obtain an empty weight for the mixer.

2. Power up the scale indicator and allow it to warm up for 5 minutes.

3. Press and hold the [NET/GROSS] key while pressing the [ON / SELECT] key (ON for EZ150; SELECT for EZ2000) until “CAL” appears at the top of the display in small letters. This will indicate that the scale is in Calibration Mode.

4. From this point on, the [ON] key will act as the ENTER key; the [NET / GROSS] key will act as the VALUE INCREMENT key if it is necessary to change a parameter value.

5. “MOTION” will appear on the display for one second, then it should change to “OFF”. If “ON” is displayed, press the [NET/GROSS] key to change it to “OFF”.

6. Press the [ON] key.

7. “D-RATE” will appear on the display, then change to “2”. If not, press the [NET/GROSS] key repeatedly until “2” is displayed.

8. Press the [ON] key.

9. “W MTHD” will appear on the display, then change to “ON”. If not, press the [NET/GROSS] key to turn it on.

10. Press the [ON] key.

11. “ZTRACK” will appear on the display, then change to [ON]. If not, press the [NET/GROSS] key to turn it on.

12. The scale will scroll the message: “PRESS NET/GROSS FOR CALIBRATION – PRESS TARE FOR SETUP – PRESS ON TO EXIT”. At this point, press the [NET/GROSS] key for calibration.

13. “LB-KG” will appear on the display, then change to “LB”. if not, press the [NET/GROSS] key.

14. Press the [ON] key.

15. “CAP” will appear on the display, then change to “40000”, with the digit on the far right flashing. If not, press the [NET/GROSS] key to change the value of the flashing digit, then use the [TARE] key to change the position of the flashing digit in the number.

16. Press the [ON] key.

17. “COUNT” will appear on the display, then change to “10”. If not, press the [NET/GROSS] key repeatedly until it displays “10”.

18. Press the [ON] key.

19. “ZERO” will appear on the display, then change to a number. Press the [NET/GROSS] key, the press the [ZERO] key to zero balance the scale indicator.

20. Press the [ON] key.

21. “ADD WT” will appear on the display, then change to “0”.

22. At this point, you will need to load the mixer with NO LESS than 4000 lb. of weight.

23. Next, drive the mixer back onto the platform scale and obtain a loaded weight and subtract this number from the empty weight obtained in step 1.

24. Press the [ON] key.

25. Enter the number obtained from step 23 into the scale by pressing [NET/GROSS] to change the value of the flashing digit, and [TARE] to change the position of the flashing digit in the number.

26. When the correct weight has been entered, press the [ON] key to enter the calibration number into the scale.
