Digi-Star
3200/3500 Rev Counter Sensor
Installation
Instructions
To determine which lower auger bearing to use for mounting the sensor, locate the battery compartment of the vehicle. Mount the sensor assembly to the side nearest the battery.
The sensor (mounted to the twisted Bracket B) will be mounted to the flange directly above the lower bearing at point A (see diagram). The cable should be at the top. NOTE: Some installations may require that the bracket be mounted to the lower flange D.
The Actuator Bolt Bracket Assembly C is mounted to the lower bearing by the bolt in the center of the bearing.
After adjustment, clearance between actuator bolt and sensor must be no more than 1/4 ” (1/8” to 3/16” is suggested). Adjustment can be made at Bracket C and by adjusting the mounting nuts of the sensor itself. CAUTION: To avoid destruction of the sensor, measure the distance between the bearing bolt and the lower end of Bracket C. If it is greater than the distance between the bolt and the tip of the actuator bolt, the lower portion of Bracket C must be trimmed.

SCALE SETUP
First, you must determine if your scale is set up for revolution counter or timer operation. To check this function, press 4 2 1 on the keypad and press SELECT. The display will show TMRCTR and then change to either TIME or REV. If REV is displayed, you are set up for revolution counter operation. If TIME is displayed, press the SELECT key to change from timer to rev counter. When REV is displayed, press the ON key to save the setting.
TESTING
After mounting and wiring is complete, have someone engage the augers and SLOWLY rotate them and check to be sure there is sufficient clearance between the lower end of the actuator bolt bracket and the sensor as it rotates.
Press the TIMER/COUNTER key and use the numeric keypad on the scale to enter the number of revolutions to be counted. Press the TIMER/COUNTER key again to start Rev counter operation, then start the mixer. The display will show the number of remaining revolutions and when it counts down to REV 0, the display will flash and the alarm will sound. If the mixer continues to rotate, the display will display negative numbers to indicate the number of additional revolutions.
