EATON 625/630 SETUP
Before installing an
Eaton 625 or 630 scale indicator the unit must first be matched for the load
cells/weigh bars that they will be used with.
For instance, you can not trade an Eaton 625 scale indicator from load cells
to weigh bars without making a few adjustments.
To change the setup of
the indicator you will have to either cut out or solder in a few
resistors. On newer 625 indicators you
will have "dip" switches for
the gain resistors which make the setup easier because you do not have to cut
out or solder in the gain resistors. All
you have to do is flip the switches according to the setup listed below.
Gain resistors Tare resistors
625 Load cell setup cut E & F or turn off 4 & 5 cut none
625 Weigh bar setup cut D,E, & F or turn off
3,4, & 5 cut C
630 load cell setup cut D cut
none
630 Weigh bar setup cut C & D cut
C
After changing the setup
on an indicator the scale will need to be recalibrated because changing the
setup will affect the indicators calibration.
