DATA SHEET Model 14A-N and 14A-TNC Half-Wave Quadrafilar Helix Antennas Right-Hand Circular Polarization
The Model 14A is a hemispherically omni-directional antenna for use with mobile satellite platforms, ARGOS platforms, NOAA A-H platforms, Radiosonde receivers, and Transit Navigation receivers.
The 14A is a lightweight, resonant, half-wave Quadrafilar Helix antenna phased for right-hand circular polarization. Coverage is approximately hemispheric with a maximum gain of 3 dBic at zenith. The Synergetics MICRO-FEED is used for matching, resulting in superior axial ratio, SWR, and bandwidth.
The sealed radome for the 14A is constructed of G-10 fiberglass with a white two-part polyurethane paint finish for long life under hostile atmospheric conditions.
